#1 What does your health guarantee mean for my puppy?

Our Health Guarantee means that your puppy will come vet checked. You must take your pup to the veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving them for another vet check. If your puppy is diagnosed with a genetic disorder or disease than we will replace the puppy after being notified of the disorder by a licensed veterinarian.

A health guarantee is a document that shows that your puppy was cleared for travel from a licensed veterinarian. This shows you that your puppy was checked for any infectious diseases before heading your way!

#4 Is flying a puppy a safe way to transport them?

Flying a puppy is completely safe, although there are some breed restrictions when it comes to flying.  Contact us for more details or to know about the restrictions

#5 At what age can a puppy travel?

Based on KUSA guidelines, a puppy can not travel before 8 weeks of age. When it comes to smaller breeds, some of them can’t fly until they are at least 9 weeks of age. We at Homeward Hounds care about the safety of our puppies and will not let a puppy fly or travel before they meet these requirements to ensure their safe travel to your home.

#6 What other ways can a puppy travel?

Besides flying, we can deliver the puppy to your front door based on location from the head quarters and distance from the breeder. Flying and ground transportation are the main ways to deliver the puppy to your home. Some breeds can only be delivered via ground transportation because of health restrictions.

Yes. We make sure every breeder goes through an on-sight inspection by our director of breeder development and staff.

Our breeders have to pass a code of ethics which includes, providing quality food, water, and care to protect the health and welfare of the puppies. Also, provides proper vet care for disease prevention, must have a clean, well kept facility, must have knowledge working with pets, including proper handling techniques, must have an exercise area, and playground for puppies.
